Use of Service

DestructLog is a documentation tool that records asset sanitization information based on data provided by the user. The tool is provided free of charge for generating documentation. No account or registration is required.

No Verification

DestructLog does not verify that any asset was actually sanitized. The documents it generates state the information entered by the user and explicitly disclaim that verification has been performed. The user is solely responsible for ensuring that sanitization procedures are followed and documented accurately.

Disclaimer of Warranties

DestructLog is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. The tool may produce errors if input data is malformed or if NIST 800-88 rules change after the last update of this software.

Limitation of Liability

In no event shall DestructLog or its operator be liable for any claim, damages, or liability arising from the use of this tool or the documents it generates.

Billing and Payments

Current Status: DestructLog is currently offered as a free service. No payment is required to generate sanitization documentation.

Paid Subscription Tier: A paid subscription tier may be introduced in the future. If and when a paid tier is offered, the following terms apply:

• What you buy: A subscription grants access to generate sanitization certificates via the DestructLog API for the duration of the billing period.
• Price: The then-current price is displayed on the pricing page before you subscribe.
• Billing period: Subscriptions are billed monthly in advance. Payment is charged to the payment method you provide at checkout.
• Failed payment: If a payment charge fails, we will retry the charge up to 3 times over 7 days. If all retries fail, access to paid features is suspended until a successful payment is processed.
• Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you retain access until then.
• Refunds: All subscription payments are non-refundable except where required by applicable law. If a service outage prevents use of the paid tier for more than 48 consecutive hours, we will issue a prorated credit for the affected period.

Test Mode Disclosure: Any checkout or payment page on this site operates in test mode only and will not process live payment card transactions until a production payment processor is connected. Test transactions are not actual charges.

Changes

These terms may be updated at any time. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. DestructLog is a product of Agen2ic, LLC.
